This policy explains how Dvinyls handles your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
Your name, cell number, email address and delivery address when you place an order, and your messages when you contact us on WhatsApp or through our feedback page. Card and bank details are entered on PayFast's secure pages and never reach us.
Why we use it
- To process, source and deliver your order.
- To contact you about your order, including delays or pre-order balances.
- To send new-arrival updates, only if you ask to join our list. You can leave it at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the companies needed to complete your order: PayFast (payments), our courier (delivery), Vercel (website hosting) and Upstash (our order records). If you visit from one of our ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google receive information about your visit, as explained under Cookies. We never sell your information. Our overseas distributors only receive the records and quantities we order, never your name or address.
Where your information is stored
Our website and order records are hosted by Vercel and Upstash on servers in the United States. These companies are bound by data protection terms that give your information protection similar to POPIA, and they may only use it to provide their service to us. By placing an order or sending us feedback, you agree to your information being stored there.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for 5 years for tax purposes. Marketing contacts are removed as soon as you ask.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

Cookies
This website stores your cart in your own browser so it isn't lost between visits. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify you personally.
We also use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags. They set cookies that tell Meta and Google which pages you viewed, what you added to your cart and whether you placed an order (the records and amount, never your name, address or payment details). We use this to see which of our ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited the store. Meta and Google handle this information under their own privacy policies and may store it outside South Africa. You can limit this in your Facebook, Instagram and Google ad settings, or by blocking cookies in your browser; the store still works without them.
